Answering the Call
This is our Denomination’s Theme for 2025
As we journey through the second half of 2025, we are reminded of our year’s theme: “Answering the Call,” inspired by our theme verse, from Matthew 9:38: “Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” This verse is a powerful reminder of our mission as a church to engage in the Great Commission and share the love of Christ with the world.
Responding to God's Call
During this season, we encourage each of you to reflect on how you can respond to God’s call. For those sensing a pull toward full-time ministry, we urge you to take that step of faith and serve God within your community. God has a unique purpose for each of us. Your willingness to serve can make a profound difference in the lives of others right where you are. The challenges facing the world today can only be overcome through the mighty power of Christ.
Called to Unity
As we gather in faith, let us remember the profound calling we must strive for the unity of the Spirit. “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:3. Unity is not merely the absence of conflict it is the presence of love, understanding, and shared purpose. Each of us brings unique gifts and perspectives to our communities. By embracing these differences, we truly reflect the body of Christ. Let us celebrate our diversity while remaining deeply rooted in our shared faith and mission. As Christ prayed in agony for us in John 17:22-23 “And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.” May we reflect His heart in our lives.
Serving Together in Love
May our commitment to unity inspire us to work together in service, outreach, and worship, glorifying God in all we do. Let us pray for the Spirit’s guidance as we walk in harmony, reflecting the love of Christ in our lives and communities.
Comfort for the Grieving
We also acknowledge the pain of loss that many have experienced this year. Our hearts go out to all who are mourning the passing of their loved ones. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:4. Let us lean on one another and on God’s everlasting love during these difficult times.
Our Hope in Christ
As we continue to grow in faith, let us remember the mercy, grace, and love that God extends to all humanity: “This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.” 1 John 4:9 This incredible gift is available to everyone. It is our privilege and responsibility to share this message of hope and salvation.
Gratitude & Blessing
We are truly grateful for the gift of life and the community we share at Africa Evangelical Church. May God’s blessings be upon all who read this message, and may we continue to pray to the Lord of the harvest to send more workers into His field. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, be with you all.
God bless you.
